The title of this work is linked to the Rune of the Celtic tradition engraved on the back of the crouched figure: Othila symbolizes the end of the journey and the entry into the kingdom of the Gods, a new path of spiritual life coming, an enlightenment. In addition to this, on the right arm there is also the Laguz rune: this symbolizes the flowing water that carries regenerative life force. It is linked to changes in energy and to the growth gained through one's own experiences; has the task of helping us to understand the cyclicity of things and to give new impetus to the rebirth for the beginning of a new phase of life. On the right arm there is also the ancient symbol of the Sun (the two concentric circles), bearer of light and vital energy, while on the right foot there is represented the Earth (circle with the cross), relating to Life. The whole surface is engraved with a puzzle motif, dear to the artist and relative to the beginning of his research: each card represents the cells and our DNA, linking us to a pre-established path and relegating the human being to a sort of biological computer. With the study of ancient philosophies, however, the artist was able to find self-awareness in a way out of predestination.
